Albanus Original Typeface
Albanus Text is a serif typeface designed for editorial use, ideally at sizes 7–11 point. Scholarly Albanus references historic oldstyle typefaces with additional inspiration from the mosaic Roman capitals in St. Peter’s Basilica, and is thus well suited to historic and religious applications. The sharp serifs round and soften when printed at target sizes, creating slightly cupped serifs which add rhythm and approachability to the elegant forms.
Albanus Text was designed during the Type @ Cooper Condensed Program in 2018.
